Category: Metal Alloy

Alloy is a mixture with metallic properties synthesized by two or more metals and metals or non-metals by certain methods. Generally obtained by fusion into a homogeneous liquid and solidification. According to the number of constituent elements, it can be divided into binary alloys, ternary alloys and multi-element alloys. Two or more metals are evenly fused together through a certain process, which is an alloy. For example, copper and zinc form brass, copper and tin form bronze, copper and nickel form cupronickel, and stainless steel is all alloys containing chromium, nickel, titanium and other metals.

Copper Nickel Cu-Ni Alloy Powder

About Copper Nickel Cu-Ni Alloy Powder:
Copper-nickel or copper-nickel (CuNi) is an alloy of copper that contains nickel and reinforcing elements, such as iron and manganese. Copper content usually varies between 60% and 90%. (Monel is a nickel-copper alloy containing at least 52% nickel.) Is copper-nickel alloy magnetic? Although copper is only weakly diamagnetic it requires 0.8 or 0.9 percent nickel to neutralize this diamagnetic effect and 56 percent nickel is required before the alloy shows ferromagnetic properties at ordinary temperatures. Nickel-copper alloy has good mechanical properties at room temperature and high-temperature strength, high corrosion resistance, good wear resistance, easy to process, non-magnetic, is a good structural material for the manufacture of traveling wave tubes and other electronic tubes. It can also be used as the structural material of an aero-engine. Why is nickel added to copper? The addition of nickel to copper improves strength and corrosion resistance while allowing the alloy to remain ductile. Other elements can be added to copper-nickel to increase strength, corrosion resistance, hardening, weldability and castability.
Nickel and copper can be insoluble in any proportion at high temperatures and form a solid solution during cooling. What color is copper-nickel? Despite its high copper content, the cupronickel is silver in colour. Cupronickel is highly resistant to corrosion by salt water and is therefore used for piping, heat exchangers and condensers in seawater systems, as well as for marine hardware.
Although it has a high copper content, copper is silver. Copper is highly resistant to brine corrosion and is therefore used in piping, heat exchangers and condensers in seawater systems, as well as in Marine hardware. It is sometimes used in propellers, driveshafts, and the hulls of high-quality ships. Other uses include military equipment, chemical, petrochemical and electrical industries. Tungstenmolybdenummetals is a trusted global Copper Nickel Cu-Ni Alloy Powder supplier. Feel free to send an inquiry about the latest price of Cu-Ni Alloy at any time.

How is Copper Nickel Cu-Ni Alloy Powder produced?
The nickel-copper alloy with nickel as base and copper is a kind of nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloy with a large amount and wide application. What are some attractive engineering properties of copper nickel alloys? Copper-nickels have established properties that show high resistance to seawater corrosion and biofouling. This includes resistance to chlorides in terms of pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, even in hotter climates. Although the existing nickel-copper alloy grades are many, its copper content is generally in the range of 10~30%. When used as a corrosion-resistant alloy, nickel-copper alloy containing copper ~ 28% is more widely used. Adding copper to nickel will have a series of effects on nickel properties, especially corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and physical properties. The addition of general copper increases the corrosion resistance of nickel in the reducing medium but decreases the corrosion resistance of nickel in oxidizing medium and the oxidation resistance in the air. The strength and hardness of nickel increased with the addition of copper, and the plasticity decreased slightly. The addition of copper increases the thermal conductivity of nickel.

Applications of Copper Nickel Cu-Ni Alloy Powder:
Non-marine applications of copper and nickel include cryogenic applications, brake tubing and silver coins such as 1 and 2 euro coins and 5 cent US nickel. Because of their strong antimicrobial properties, copper-nickel alloys are used as sanitary “contact materials” to reduce cross-contamination and infection, especially in hospital intensive care units. In addition, copper and nickel can also be used in:

1. Copper – or nickel-based alloy powder metallurgy

2. Seawater resistant material for Marine surface coating

2. Wear-resistant lubricant, wear-resistant additive

4. Conductive and thermal conductive filling materials

5. Electromagnetic shielding material

6. Manufacture multilayer ceramic capacitor terminals and inner electrodes, electronic components, electronic paste, etc

7. Ocean engineering

Cu-Ni alloys are used in Marine applications due to their resistance to seawater corrosion, good manufacturing properties and effectiveness in reducing macro pollution levels. Alloys range in composition from 90% copper-10% nickel to 70% copper-30% nickel and are usually specified for use in heat exchangers or condenser tubes in a variety of Marine applications.

8. The Swiss franc

The successful use of white copper in coins is due to its corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, durability, ductility, low allergenic risk, ease of stamping, antimicrobial properties and recyclability.

9. Other use

Single-core thermocouple cables use a single conductor to a thermocouple conductor, such as Fe-Constant, Copper-Constant or Ni-Cr/Ni-Al. These heating elements are Konstan copper or nickel-chromium alloy with copper, copper-nickel, or stainless steel housing.
Copper is used in cryogenic applications. It has good ductility, retention and thermal conductivity at very low temperatures, which is beneficial to low-temperature processing and storage equipment, as well as heat exchangers in low-temperature plants.
Bulletproof jackets have often been made of this material since the early 20th century. It was quickly replaced by gold-plated metal to reduce metal grime inside the hole.
For high-quality cylinder locks and locking systems, cylinder cores are made of wear-resistant white copper.
Since copper does not rust, it is used as an alternative to traditional steel brake wires. Because white copper is much softer than steel, it is easier to bend and burn, the same properties that allow it to form a better seal with hydraulic components

Pre-alloyed Iron Copper FeCu Powder

About Pre-alloyed Iron Copper FeCu Powder:
Copper-iron alloy is also a kind of alloy. Fe-Cu powder has excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, ductility and corrosion resistance, which combines the advantages of copper and iron. An alloy in which copper is the main element and iron is added. Ferroalloy also has uniform composition, reasonable structure, smooth surface, easy storage and handling, as a middle alloy, added to the copper casting, has good deoxidization, fluidity and other characteristics. A small number of rare earth can be added to refine a copper-iron alloy, and copper and iron melt at a similar temperature of about 1,200 degrees, making them perfectly compatible.
Many pure metals have unique properties that we need in some applications. For example in the case of copper, this metal provides excellent corrosion resistance in brine environments. It also has great electrical and thermal conductivity, as it is often used for electronic and electrical wiring. Other properties of copper include ductility, ductility, and softness.
However, pure metals themselves also have negative properties, which will ruin the application. In the case of copper, the metal is very weak. Although work hardening can be used to strengthen it, another way to make it stronger is to add other metals, such as iron.
Like copper, iron is malleable and malleable. It also has good electrical conductivity and tensile strength because it can be stretched without breaking. However, iron is corrosive because it oxidizes to form rust in the presence of water and oxygen.
Sometimes the addition of iron to copper alloys has a positive effect. Some of the main benefits of adding iron to the copper alloy are increased tensile strength and corrosion resistance without compromising the original electrical conductivity of the copper alloy.
Copper – iron alloy: Copper – iron (CuFe) master alloy has high tensile strength, corrosion resistance and high thermal and electrical conductivity. This master alloy is used as a grain refiner when added to other copper alloys such as aluminum bronze and brass. It usually helps to improve the mechanical properties of low alloy copper.
A low copper alloy can become a high copper alloy when iron and other metals are added. They are extremely strong and have a conductivity of 75 to 90 percent. Tungstenmolybdenummetals is a trusted global Pre-alloyed Iron Copper FeCu Powder supplier. Feel free to send an inquiry about the latest price of Iron Copper FeCu at any time.

Features of Iron Copper FeCu Powder:

Preparation Large surface area, high activity, low sintering temperature, high density, high hardness sintered (maximum 102HRB) good sintering stability, bending strength up to 1534 Mpa, good flowability.

How is Pre-alloyed Iron Copper FeCu Powder produced?
When the content of copper powder is 7.44 % by mass and the sintering temperature is higher than the melting point of copper, the compaction expands the maximum. When (Fe-3.44 mass %Cu) pre-alloyed iron powder is mixed with copper powder, the maximum expansion rate of the sample is lower than that of the former when the addition amount of copper powder is 4.00 mass %. However, the compaction made of (Fe-7.18 %Cu) iron alloy powder and copper powder only shrinks when the copper powder is added. The penetration of liquid copper into the interstitial space between solid grains was observed in all sintered billets. The expansion behavior of iron-copper compaction with the same copper powder content changes with the increase of copper content in the initial iron powder.

Applications of Pre-alloyed Iron Copper FeCu Powder:
Copper-iron intermediate alloy is a grain refinement agent for brass alloys and aluminum bronze. It can also be used to improve the mechanical properties of low alloy copper and corrosion resistance of copper-nickel alloys.
In FeCu alloy systems, the actual procedures for the obvious mutual diffusion between these two basic elements are very limited. This work focuses on high-energy ball milling techniques to produce FeCu materials and, in some cases, simultaneously deposit them on thin substrates to suit different applications. This deposition occurs within the same crucible range and is used to produce alloys except without the use of grinding balls. Milling time and speed are two parameters that control the thickness and microstructure of the deposition layer. This two-step process generally allows for many practical applications to improve the mechanical, optical, and thermal properties of the target material by mechanical modification of its surface.

Storage Condition of Iron Copper FeCu Powder:
The damp reunion will affect FeCu powder dispersion performance and using effects, therefore, Iron Copper FeCu Powder should be sealed in vacuum packing and stored in cool and dry room, Iron Copper FeCu Powder can not be exposure to air. In addition, the FeCu powder should be avoided under stress.

Packing & Shipping of Iron Copper FeCu Powder:

Calcium Nitride Ca3N2 Powder CAS 12013-82-0

About Calcium Nitride Ca3N2 powder
In most cases, calcium nitride is usually available in large volumes. Tungstenmolybdenummetals provides a wide range of products for hydrogen storage research, advanced fuel cells, and battery applications. Hydrogen is easily produced from renewable energy sources and is the most abundant element in the universe. Hydrogen comes from many sources, such as solid fuels, water, and renewable materials. Hydrogen is non-polluting and will form harmless water during use. Challenges related to the use of hydrogen as an energy source include the development of safe, compact, reliable, and cost-effective hydrogen storage and transmission technology. Currently, hydrogen can be stored in three forms: compressed hydrogen, liquid hydrogen, and chemical storage. High purity, submicron and Nanopowder forms can be considered. Calcium nitride is the main raw material for high-end phosphors. This phosphor is more stable, has better performance, and has better effects at high temperature and high humidity. Last but not least, calcium nitride can also be used as a chemical treatment agent, which is the key to determining the performance of water-based mud. Feel free to send an inquiry to get the latest price if you would like to buy Calcium nitride in bulk.
How is Calcium Nitride Produced?
When calcium burns in the air, it forms Ca3N2 with the oxide CaO. The distilled fibrous metallic calcium is heated to 450°C in a purified nitrogen stream, and then the metallic calcium is nitrided into calcium nitride after 3-4 hours.
Depending on the preparation temperature, the obtained calcium nitride is black at 350°C, milky white at 350 to 1150°C, or golden yellow at 1150°C or higher. It is easy to identify the calcium nitride formed because it can react with moisture or water and produce calcium hydroxide and ammonia.
Applications of Calcium Nitride
Ca3N2 can be used for obtaining reactive nitride ions, Calcium hydride (a desiccant) can be produced by heating calcium nitride with hydrogen at temperatures above 350 °C.
