Tungsten Telluride WTe2 Powder CAS 12067-76-4

About Tungsten Telluride WTe2 Powder:
Tungsten telluride (WTe2) is a transitional metal chalcogenide with a layered structure. In its orthogonal cell, the tungsten chain presents a one-dimensional distribution along the A axis of the tellurium layer. It is a kind of non-magnetic semi-metallic material.
Tungsten telluride (WTe2) is an inorganic semimetallic compound. Tungsten ditelluride is found to have very large magnetoresistance: at a magnetic field of 0.5 Kelvin, 60 teslas, the resistance increases by 13 million %. The resistance is proportional to the square of the magnetic field, showing unsaturation. This may be because the material is the first example of a compensating semi-metal where the number of movable holes is equal to the number of electrons tungsten ditelluride has a layered structure similar to many other transition metal halogen compounds, but its layered structure is distorted, and many of them share a honeycombed lattice that is difficult to identify in WTe2. Instead, tungsten atoms form zigzag chains that are thought to behave as one-dimensional conductors. Unlike electrons in other two-dimensional semiconductors, electrons in WTe2 can easily move between layers
The magnetoresistance effect in WTe2 decreases under pressure. When the pressure exceeds 10.5 GPa, the magnetoresistance disappears and the material becomes a superconductor. At 13.0 GPa, the superconducting transition occurs below 6.5 K.
Two – and three-layer thick WTe2 have also been observed to be polar metals, and the theory of electrical polarization with metallic behavior and conversion suggests that polarization is caused by vertical charge transfer between layers, which in turn is caused by interlayer sliding. About Telluride Copper CuTe Powder:
Telluride copper – also known as alloys 145, Copper tellurium, C15400,145 semi shared tellurium and TECU- are copper-based alloys containing varying amounts of tellurium and phosphorus. Tellurium content usually ranges from 0.4 to 0.7 percent, while phosphorus content ranges from 0.004 to 0.12 percent.

Copper tellurium refers to an alloy of tellurium and copper. Copper tellurium containing 0.4-0.7% tellurium has good machinability. Telluride copper containing 50% tellurium and 50% copper is used as the master alloy.

Tellurium copper some mechanical, chemical, electrical and manufacturing performance include atmospheric corrosion resistance, high temperature and conductivity hydrogen embrittlement (i.e., caused by the introduction and diffusion hydrogen fracturing and weaken), 65-130 HV hardness, good formability (used for the cold and hot forming process), 85-90% of the machinability rating (if free cutting brass for 100), suitable for welding and brazing, not suitable for a particular welding process, such as coating metal arc welding, oxygen-acetylene welding, resistance welding, seam welding and spot welding.

Copper tellurium alloy has good machinability, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and electric ablation resistance, and good cold and hot working performance. It is the copper alloy material with the best cutting performance among high copper alloys. It can be forged, cast, extruded and drawn, blanked and molded. Performance of Telluride copper CuTe powder:

Copper telluride is a chemical substance with the molecular formula CuTe. Copper telluride is a black powder, which is relatively stable in air at room temperature. Copper telluride is not only an important inorganic material but also an excellent form of storing tellurium and copper resources. In the H2SO4 solution, replacing Te with Cu generates copper telluride, which separates tellurium from many metal ions and obtains a relatively high concentration. When Cu replaces Te, Te can be + 4 valences or + 6 valences, all of which can generate Cu 2 Te, that is, it is not affected by the valence state of tellurium. In the presence of an oxidizing agent, copper telluride can chemically react with acids or bases, which is also the basis for separating and recovering Cu and Te. In short, tellurium and copper combine with each other at a higher temperature to recover tellurium from the solution.

Specification of Telluride copper CuTe powder :

Black crystal powder, room temperature is stable in the air. Copper telluride is not only an important inorganic material, or stores a great form of tellurium and copper resources.

How is Telluride Copper CuTe Powder produced?
A preparation method for a copper tellurium alloy comprises the following steps:
1. After mixing high purity copper and high purity tellurium according to the ratio requirements, or after alternating layers of high purity copper and high purity tellurium, they are placed in a graphite crucible, and then the graphite crucible is sealed after replacing the air in the graphite crucible with protective gas;
2. Put the graphite crucible into a synthetic furnace, and the air in the furnace chamber of the synthetic furnace is passed into the protective gas after the furnace is closed.
3. Fill the furnace with protective gas until the pressure is 1.0~4.5MPa. At the same time, the temperature in the furnace rises from normal temperature within 60~90min to 1200~1450℃, and the temperature drops with the furnace after holding for 2~4h.
4. After the temperature in the synthesis furnace is lowered to less than 100℃, the protective gas in the synthesis furnace is drained to reduce the pressure in the synthesis furnace to normal pressure, and the furnace is opened to get copper tellurium alloy ingot.

Application of Telluride Copper CuTe Powder:
Tellurium copper alloy is mainly used for: high conductivity, high corrosion resistance of precision electronic and electrical components, advanced mechanical and electrical parts, forgings and thread cutting parts, plumbing fittings, electrical contact parts, plasma and laser cutting parts, automotive starter and switch parts, etc.
Tellurium copper alloy can be processed into the plate, sheet, rod, wire, tube and other profiles and a variety of profiles.

Germanium TellurideGeTe99.99%-100 mesh200.246.14 g/cm3Gray Black

How is Germanium Telluride GeTe Powder Produced?
The preparation method of germanium telluride consists of the following steps:
(1) Weigh a certain amount of germanium telluride powder into the organic solvent and mix it evenly. The ratio of the mass fraction of germanium telluride powder to the volume fraction of the organic solvent is (2100):(5100). The unit of the mass fraction is Mg and the unit of volume fraction is mL.

(2) Put the evenly mixed solution in Step (1) into the cell crusher for ultrasonic treatment;

(3) The ultrasonic germanium telluride dispersion was centrifuged, and the grayish-black supernatant was taken. The two-dimensional material germanium telluride was dispersed in the supernatant.

Applications of Germanium Telluride GeTe Powder:
Germanium telluride is a thermoelectric material.
Germanium telluride is used in thermoelectric refrigeration.
Germanium telluride is also used in infrared detection equipment and semiconductors.
GeTe is already widely used in non-volatile optical data storage, such as CD, DVD and Blu-ray, and may replace dynamic and flash random access memory. In 1987, Yamada et al. studied the phase transformation properties of GeTe and Sb2Te3 used in optical storage. The shorter crystallization time, circularity and high optical contrast make these materials a better choice than Te81Ge15Sb2S2, which has a slower transition time

The high resistivity contrast between amorphous and crystalline states and the ability to repeatedly reverse transitions make it a good candidate for RF switches. The radiofrequency requires the deposition of a thin layer of GeTe film on the surface of the substrate. Seed layer structure, precursor composition, deposition temperature, pressure, gas flow rate, precursor bubbling temperature and substrate all have an influence on membrane performance.

Storage Condition of Germanium Telluride GeTe Powder :
The damp reunion will affect GeTe powder dispersion performance and using effects, therefore, germanium telluride GeTe powder should be sealed in vacuum packing and stored in the cool and dry room, the germanium telluride can not be exposure to air. In addition, the GeTe powder should be avoided under stress.

Technical Parameter of Mercury Telluride HgTe Powder :

Product NameMFPurityParticle SizeMolecular WeightCASColor
Mercury TellurideHgTe99.99%-100 mesh328.1912068-90-5Gray Black

How is Mercury Telluride HgTe Powder Produced?
The preparation method of mercury selenide is as follows:
1. Under the condition of isolated air, dilute solution of HgCl2 is dropped into a saturated aqueous solution of H2Se to obtain HgTe precipitated product. Note that HgCl2 should not be in excess and a high concentration of HgCl2 solution should not be used, otherwise, HgCl2· 2HgTe precipitation will be formed.

2. Add HgCl2 to highly ammoniacal NaCN solution according to stoichiometric ratio, and then add equal weight SeO2.After the mixed solution is filtered, SO2 gas is passed into it. The solution must be kept alkaline throughout the reaction to prevent the red selenium from precipitating out. The endpoint of the reaction can be determined by the decrease in the rate at which SO2 is absorbed. At the end of the reaction, the black HgTe was filtered, washed with dilute NaCl solution containing ammonia, washed with distilled water, and finally dried in a dryer containing P2O5.

3. According to the stoichiometric ratio, Hg and Se are placed in a closed high-pressure vessel, and the reaction is carried out at the temperature of 550 ~ 600℃. Then the product is sublimated and purified in the pure N2 flow of 600 ~ 650℃, and pure HgTe can be obtained.

Applications of Mercury Telluride HgTe Powder:
As a semi-metallic material, mercury selenide is used in the manufacture of solar cells, thin-film transistors, infrared detectors and ultrasonic amplifiers. In addition, it is also used in the production of Hall effect high-resolution films and analytical reagents.
Hg selenide was used as a photocatalyst to degrade organic dye contaminants. The organic dye contaminants were irradiated with visible light, and HgTe was used as a photocatalyst for photocatalytic degradation.

Used in high-pressure discharge lamp to replace mercury non-toxic chemical stability selenide mercury new USES, with mercury and selenium compounds made of selenide instead of liquid mercury, mercury described selenide mercury and selenium in the weight ratio is equal to the ratio of the two elements GMW, dosage to keep high-pressure discharge lamp in 0 ~ 50% of liquid mercury, the rest of the mercury to corresponding GMW selenide mercury.

Metal halides, metals, and other chemical components can also be added to mercury selenide. The use of liquid mercury in high-intensity discharge lamps can be greatly reduced, and because HgTe is a stable substance, there is no liquid mercury or mercury vapor leakage even if the lamp breaks, so the mercury contamination can be greatly reduced.

Storage Condition of Mercury Telluride HgTe Powder :
The damp reunion will affect HgTe powder dispersion performance and using effects, therefore, mercury telluride HgTe powder should be sealed in vacuum packing and stored in the cool and dry room, the mercury telluride can not be exposure to air.
