What is Inconel 718? Inconel 718 It is possible to nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy This product is designed to resist pitting and crevice erosion in a variety of harsh environments.

This nickel-steel alloy has exceptional yield, tensile, creep fracture and other properties at high temperatures. The nickel alloy is versatile and can be used from low temperatures to long-term, 1200degF use.
Inconel 718 has one distinctive feature. It contains niobium to allow age-hardening. The alloy matrix can be hardened by adding niobium to molybdenum. It is strong without the need for intensive heat treatment. Aluminum and titanium can also be added to popular NiCr alloys to make them more age-resistant.
This nickel-steel mixture is simple to make and can be welded under annealing, precipitation (aging), or hardening conditions.

Inconel 718 Key Properties
Good mechanical properties include tensile and fatigue strength, as well as creep fracture.
Very high yield tensile and creep strength, as well as fracture strength properties.
It is highly resistant to corrosion cracking caused by sulfide stress and chloride stress.
Resistant to water corrosion, chloride stress corrosion cracking
High temperature resistance
Aging hardening is a unique feature that allows heating and cooling to take place during the annealing process, without the possibility of cracking.
Excellent weldability, no aging cracking after welding.

Inconel 718 Powder Application
Inconel 718 is used across many industries including aerospace, chemical processing, marine engineering, pollution control, and nuclear reactors. It is used to make cryogenic storage tanks and components for wellheads. It is a great candidate for manufacturing heat-resistant turbines in the aerospace sector.

What is Inconel?
Inconel is a registered trademark of Special Metals Corporation for the austenitic nickel-chromium-based superalloy family.
Inconel alloys are highly resistant to corrosion and oxidation, and can be used in extreme conditions under heat and pressure. Inconel reacts with heat to form a thick, stable layer of passivated oxygen that protects against further erosion. Inconel has a high temperature resistance and is suitable for applications in high temperatures where steel and aluminum are vulnerable to thermally-induced crystal vacancies. Based on the alloy, Inconel can be strengthened or hardened by precipitation.

For high-temperature applications like:
Inconel 625 These alloys are: Inconel 625., Chronin 625., Altemp625. Haynes 625., Nickelvac625., and Nicrofer 6020.
Inconel 600 These alloys are: N06600 (NA14), BS3076 (BS3076), 2.4816 (NiCr15Fe) (EU), NiCr15Fe8(DE), and NiCr15Fe8(DE).
